A few people have expressed confusion about 2-D vs. 3-D. Here is a little information that will hopefully help:
More than 75% of movies are still 2-D only. If a movie does not clearly state that it is in 3-D, you can assume that it will be shown in 2-D.
If a movie was not made for 3-D, we cannot show it in 3-D. It takes special cameras and/or computer animation when creating a movie to be able to present as 3-D. If that work was not done up-front, there is nothing we can do after the fact to make it 3-D.
Most 3-D movies are also distributed in 2-D, simply because most movie theaters do not have the capability to show 3-D movies and studios want their movies shown in as many theaters as possible.
If a movie is available in 3-D and we get it here, we will show it in 3-D.
We will provide 3-D glasses for your use. You will not see the 3-D effects if you do not use the glasses. Without the 3-D glasses, a 3-D movie will appear blurry with a slight double-image. If you already wear glasses, the 3-D glasses will fit comfortably over your glasses.
There is additional cost to us involved in showing 3-D movies. That is why the 3-D tickets cost more than the 2-D tickets. We charge only an additional $1.00 for 3-D; most theaters charge substantially more than that.
